Testa Produce installing First US Built Turbine

-Aeronautica Windpower (Aeronautica), the Massachusetts-based wind turbine manufacturer—and the only US manufacturer of 225 and 750 kilowatt wind turbines—is scheduled to deliver its first US-built 750kW wind turbine from their Durham, New Hampshire manufacturing plant at Goss International (Goss).

The turbine will be delivered to Chicago, IL, on March 28, 2011, where it will be the centerpiece of Testa Produce’s new USGBC LEED Platinum Certified food distribution facility, the only one of its kind in North America.

“The customer wanted a quality-built, American-made turbine for this first in North America facility, and that’s why they chose the Aeronautica 47-750,” says Matt Glynn, Aeronautica Windpower’s CEO. “From power output and reliability, to parts availability and warranty coverage, our turbine proved to be the best fit for the Testa project and name.”

Aeronautica is the exclusive North American manufacturer and marketer of the renowned Norwin-designed Danish wind turbines. Along with strategic partners General Dynamics, Siemens, Norwin, and Goss, Aeronautica is developing the mid-scale wind turbine market throughout North America as the continent’s demand for clean, efficient, eco-friendly energy grows.
