Kingsburg Orchard Farm Tour
To really understand the commodities that we buy, our team likes to get in the field as much as we can to see how produce is grown, harvested, processed and shipped. We have been fans of Kingsburg Orchards in the San Joaqin Valley for many years.
This family business has been growing unique varieties of Peaches, Nectarines, Cherries, Plums, Apricots, Kiwis, and Apples, as well as tasty hybrid fruits like Pluots, Apriums, Apple Pears, and Peacherines for generations.
Our team took a day trip to see the creative ways they are growing and marketing these fruits to foodservice and retail businesses. Kingsburg is on the cutting edge of automating processes in the groves, in their packaging / processing facility and in their shipping.
They gave us a great tour that showed their passion for their produce and people, giving us an informative behind-the-scenes look at how they bring their fruit to tables around the world!
