PRO*ACT Announces the Retirement of CEO, Steve Grinstead

PRO*ACT, America’s leading distributor of fresh produce to the food service industry, announced the retirement of Chief Executive Officer, Steve Grinstead, who has loyally served PRO*ACT for the last eight years. Steve leaves behind a strong senior management team that he was instrumental in developing during his tenure. Max Yeater, company president, will assume the majority of Grinstead’s duties.

Under Grinstead’s stewardship, PRO*ACT solidified its leadership position in the produce industry by diversifying its sourcing capabilities, its customer base and its service offerings. The company, under his guidance, created and implemented a strategic plan founded on the values of excellence, trust, and commitment, and a clear vision for the future.

“Not only did Steve help us create our corporate values, he led PRO*ACT by personally exemplifying them,” said Gene Loffredo, Chairman of PRO*ACT. “He leaves our organization well positioned for future growth with a leadership team that is extremely qualified to execute the companies’ business and strategic plans. We thank him for his commitment and dedication to PRO*ACT as well as his lifelong service to this industry. We are certain that great opportunities await Steve as he moves on to the next chapters in his life.”

Grinstead noted, “As I look back on the past years serving this great organization I can’t help but be proud of how far we have come and the culture that we have built. It has been a tremendously rewarding experience. I will always have a special place in my heart for the many men and women who make up the PRO*ACT family of companies.”
